The Letter Home

From all his overseas travels throughout the years, Low Hai Hong wrote only one letter home.  This was the letter from Paris.

It was a letter for his family, as much as a letter for himself.  Been in Paris brought about so many feelings and thoughts that he had to write them down, and share with his closest.

He was overwhelmed with emotions, as he was finally able to realize his dream of painting in Paris.

Original letter written in Chinese:

早上气温是17度又下着雨,但我可是满头大汗!不是吗,拖着背着拉着一共三件行李在并不算很密的雨中奋力向前走,喔又走错路了回头再来一次!

Translated in English:

It is 17 degrees in the morning and raining, but I am sweating profusely!  Because I am dragging three pieces of luggage in the drizzle, walking up and down.  And when I realize I am in the wrong way I need to walk back again!

The letter from the Singapore artist in Paris continues with Autumn in the Park

The artist's world is limitless. It can be found anywhere, far from where he lives or a few feet away. It is always on his doorstep. - Paul Strand
