Clarity on Cotton by Ang Ah Tee

Before the Covid-19 pandemic, he travelled widely to paint, seeking inspiration and new subject matter.  Confined to his house as all of Singapore did during the pandemic in 2020, he adapted to the situation, and created a new series of works.

These smaller works using acrylic on polyester cotton were expressions of his longing for the world outside, and he painted the most vivid impressions of places that he had once visited that endeared to him.

"Clarity on Cotton" is Ang Ah Tee's answer to the chaos caused by the pandemic; seeking comfort from art, to imbue clarity in the mind, and calmness in the heart.
