Somebody once commented that this painting feels like a watercolour painting instead of an oil painting. What do you think?
Reflections on the Singapore River does have a washed out feeling to it. It feels unusually light for an oil painting but yet it has a much stronger presence than a watercolour painting.
The beauty of the painting lies in the reflections of the water, the blurred out buildings in the background and the green branches and leaves that frame the left top corner of the painting.
